All collaborative projects live on the liveliness of the communities that develop in them. Masticationpedia is no exception: here too there is a (still small) community of contributors discussing the project choices. However, since the scientific method is the only beacon that must guide us, in Masticationpedia the Community does not have the sovereign powers it can have elsewhere, and if one day the Community decided for instance to make the Project state that the Earth is flat, that consensus would be incinerated by the scientific method, by which that hypothesis proves wrong.  

Tous les projets collaboratifs vivent de la vivacité des communautés qui s'y développent. Masticationpedia ne fait pas exception : là aussi, il existe une (encore petite) communauté de contributeurs qui discutent des choix du projet. Cependant, puisque la méthode scientifique est le seul phare qui doit nous guider, dans Masticationpedia la Communauté n'a pas les pouvoirs souverains qu'elle peut avoir ailleurs, et si un jour la Communauté décidait par exemple de faire déclarer le Projet que la Terre est plate, ce consensus serait incinéré par la méthode scientifique, par laquelle cette hypothèse s'avère fausse.
