'''Masticationpedia''' comes from a long story. Which begins in the mid-eighties of the twentieth century, when, with the growth of his professional experience, our founder [[Author:Gianni Frisardi|Gianni Frisardi]] started askimg himself thorny questions on some areas of dental medical knowledge, for which he received insufficient answers from the then in use practice.

Masticationpedia stammt aus einer langen Geschichte. Das beginnt in der Mitte der achtziger Jahre des zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts, als unser Gründer  [[Author:Gianni Frisardi|Gianni Frisardi]] mit zunehmender Berufserfahrung begann, sich heikle Fragen zu einigen Bereichen des zahnmedizinischen Wissens zu stellen, für die Er erhielt unzureichende Antworten aus der damals üblichen Praxis.

Being it common in science in these cases, he began to dedicate an increasingly broader time to study and research, soon starting to acquire from this commitment increasingly clear and objective elements that confirmed the goodness of his intuition. Science is in no hurry, and the scientific answers do not make it easy to be discovered by researchers; so the study took a considerable time, ''about 35 years'', to bring to light evidences which thickness was suitable for scientific discussion.

These have been 35 years of study on neurophysiological procedures, technologies and methodologies applied to the prosthetic, orthodontic and maxillofacial rehabilitation disciplines. And today it is finally possible to share all this.

Dies sind 35 Jahre Studien zu neurophysiologischen Verfahren, Technologien und Methoden, die in den Disziplinen Prothetik, Kieferorthopädie und maxillofaziale Rehabilitation angewendet werden. Und heute ist es endlich möglich, all dies zu teilen.

If at the beginning of the study the computer itself was a very rare object, today we abound in communication technologies, therefore the choice to focus on the Net for the activity of the project should not need explanation. Today, with the Net, not only it is possible to expand contacts between scholars interested in the same subjects wherever they reside, but the possible fields of discussion becomes vast because, once the linguistic problem has been overcome (and technology is also helpful in this), it is easier and more immediate to compare and exchange the respective knowledge.

Wenn zu Beginn der Studie der Computer selbst ein sehr seltenes Objekt war, gibt es heute eine Fülle von Kommunikationstechnologien. Daher sollte die Entscheidung, sich für die Aktivität des Projekts auf das Netz zu konzentrieren, keiner Erklärung bedürfen. Mit dem Netz ist es heute nicht nur möglich, die Kontakte zwischen Wissenschaftlern, die sich für dieselben Themen interessieren, an jedem Ort zu erweitern, sondern die möglichen Diskussionsfelder werden riesig, da das sprachliche Problem erst einmal überwunden ist (und auch die Technologie dabei hilfreich ist) ist es einfacher und unmittelbarer, das jeweilige Wissen zu vergleichen und auszutauschen.

Masticationpedia was therefore born directly on the Net. It was designed to debut directly online and to communicate primarily online. Without forgetting, of course, that the purpose of Masticationpedia, as well as the Professionals to whom it is addressed, and even before the Patients to whom it is dedicated, are anything but virtual: they belong to a physicality made of pain and thought, with problems and clinical responses that could not be less virtual.

Masticationpedia wurde daher direkt im Netz geboren. Es wurde entwickelt, um direkt online zu debütieren und hauptsächlich online zu kommunizieren. From the sketching of the first drafts, to the drafting of the first pages intended for the Internet, several years have passed, in which the elaborated contents have been developed and, where appropriate, corrected and expanded. This dynamism in setting significant goals and passages, also suggested this move.

Von der Skizze der ersten Entwürfe bis zur Ausarbeitung der ersten für das Internet bestimmten Seiten sind mehrere Jahre vergangen, in denen die ausgearbeiteten Inhalte entwickelt und gegebenenfalls korrigiert und erweitert wurden. Diese Dynamik bei der Festlegung wichtiger Ziele und Passagen deutete ebenfalls auf diesen Schritt hin.

Technically we have therefore chosen, together with our friends [https://www.linkedin.com/in/michelefella/ Michele Fella] and Gianfranco BS, irreplaceable professionals for logistical and technological support, to develop and implement Masticationpedia on the [[mw:MediaWiki|MediaWiki platform]]; other reasons also comforted us in our choice, not least of which the democratic nature of editorial thought. However, we have applied some specific principles, sometimes different from those of [[Masticationpedia:Differences from other collaborative projects|other collaborative projects, including Wikipedia]].  

Technisch gesehen haben wir uns daher zusammen mit unseren Freunden [https://www.linkedin.com/in/michelefella/ Michele Fella] und Gianfranco BS, unersetzlichen Fachleuten für logistische und technologische Unterstützung, entschieden, Masticationpedia auf dem [[mw : MediaWiki | MediaWiki-Plattform]]; andere Gründe trösteten uns auch bei unserer Wahl, nicht zuletzt die demokratische Natur des redaktionellen Denkens. Wir haben jedoch einige spezifische Prinzipien angewendet, die sich manchmal von denen von [[Masticationpedia:Differences from other collaborative projects|other collaborative projects, including Wikipedia]] unterscheiden.  

In this project, that speaks of medicine, it is obviously necessary to filter and select the contributions of users who will modify or implement it, and unfortunately, due to the very nature of Masticationpedia, it is not possible otherwise. So this site can be read by everyone, but to help deepen the contents of a topic, and in general to modify / implement pages and/or chapters, it will be necessary to follow a path (actually simple) that requires some steps, first of all to create an account and provide their own references.

In diesem Projekt, das von Medizin spricht, ist es offensichtlich notwendig, die Beiträge der Benutzer zu filtern und auszuwählen, die es modifizieren oder implementieren werden, und leider ist es aufgrund der Natur von Masticationpedia nicht anders möglich. Diese Site kann also von jedem gelesen werden. Um jedoch den Inhalt eines Themas zu vertiefen und Seiten und / oder Kapitel im Allgemeinen zu ändern / zu implementieren, muss zunächst ein (eigentlich einfacher) Pfad verfolgt werden, der einige Schritte erfordert von allen, um ein Konto zu erstellen und ihre eigenen Referenzen bereitzustellen.

Finally, an essential clarification to better understand the scientific and editorial philosophy of the platform: Masticationpedia is a convergence site for specialist topics crucial for clinical rehabilitation performance, therefore in fact the reading public will largely concern dentists, but at the same time it will also be a source cultural information for non-professionals.  

Schließlich eine wesentliche Klarstellung, um die wissenschaftliche und redaktionelle Philosophie der Plattform besser zu verstehen: Masticationpedia ist eine Konvergenzstelle für Spezialthemen, die für die klinische Rehabilitationsleistung von entscheidender Bedeutung sind. Daher wird die Leserschaft in der Tat hauptsächlich Zahnärzte betreffen, gleichzeitig aber auch eine Quelle kultureller Informationen für Laien sein.  

The knowledge, indeed, is never for professionals only, and we know this well. Unfortunately, in a research project the lexicon is involuntarily selective, the topics already require basic notions that we cannot provide here, therefore we are sorry if it cannot be fully appreciated by all readers; in presence of voluntary contributors who could allow it, however, it is our commitment to work also in the direction of providing an easier information to a wider audience too, other than the specialists of this very particular sector.

Das Wissen ist in der Tat nie nur für Profis, und das wissen wir gut. Leider ist das Lexikon in einem Forschungsprojekt unfreiwillig selektiv. Die Themen erfordern bereits Grundbegriffe, die wir hier nicht bereitstellen können. Daher tut es uns leid, wenn es nicht von allen Lesern vollständig verstanden werden kann. In Anwesenheit von freiwilligen Mitwirkenden, die dies zulassen könnten, ist es jedoch unsere Verpflichtung, auch darauf hinzuarbeiten, dass auch ein breiteres Publikum, außer den Spezialisten dieses speziellen Sektors, leichter informiert wird.
