Masticationpedia è costituita da un gruppo di medici, odontoiatri, altri professionisti e cultori della Scienza che, dopo una vita spesa in professionalità e ricerca scientifica, ha maturato l’idea di trasferire all'umanità parte del proprio know how e di contenuti esperienziali, oltre che provare a stimolare nuova ricerca e incentivare nuovi studi attraverso uno dei più strepitosi e democratici strumenti di comunicazione degli ultimi secoli: il web.
Ci affacciamo al web non già al termine di una lunga storia, bensì con lo spirito di iniziarne una nuova, che ci auguriamo non breve nemmeno questa, improntata all'apertura nella dialettica della ricerca, alla collaborazione come condizione naturale dello studioso, alla produzione di conoscenza libera di cui chiunque possa liberamente fruire.
Non portiamo in Rete un prodotto scientifico finito e preconfezionato, offriamo invece con umiltà un punto di partenza lungamente costruito per lo sviluppo libero di nuova conoscenza e per la crescita della disciplina. Lo facciamo al modo che il web ha mostrato risultare di maggior successo: in collaborazione, in cooperazione, con la discussione aperta e trasparente, in pubblico.
Per questo Masticationpedia è nativamente una Comunità Scientifica, che tutta insieme affronta questa sfida.

With its name, Masticationpedia indicates that its main topic deals with physiopathogenesis of the Masticatory System. We want to learn about mastication, we would like to be helpful to those who intend to learn, or to deepen their knowledge on mastication.
