Die Wissenschaftliche Gemeinschaft leitet die Entwicklung und überwacht die Umsetzung des wissenschaftlichen Programms von Masticationpedia. Es bietet auch Beratung zu den Richtlinien und dem Aktivitätenprogramm der Charity 'und ist für die Aktualisierung sowie Überwachung verantwortlich. Außerdem hilft die Gemeinschaft bei der Auswahl geeigneter Richtlinien für die Forschung und der endgültigen Überprüfung der Ergebnisse.

Die Wissenschaftsgemeinschaft ist kein Peer-Reviewers-Komitee, sie beurteilt oder lehnt wissenschaftliche Arbeiten nicht ab. Diesem Modell wird in der Entstehung oder Praxis von Masticationpedia nicht gefolgt. Die Scientific Community of Masticationpedia schlägt Themen und Autoren vor, unter Berücksichtigung des Umfangs angemessener und unbestrittener individueller wissenschaftlicher Erkenntnisse.

Wer ist wer

Die wissenschaftliche Gemeinschaft, die sich um das Masticationpedia-Projekt versammelt, besteht aus Fachleuten aus verschiedenen Disziplinen, die nach Antworten auf die Fragen suchen, die durch "interne" Studien ungelöst bleiben.
